Published: 10 March 2025

Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 will reach its “End of Life” in October 2025. To prepare for this transition, all Windows 10 systems must be upgraded to Windows 11.

Why Upgrade to Windows 11?

Windows 11 enhances security, productivity, and performance while maintaining a familiar experience. It’s designed for modern computing needs, offering better protection, efficiency, and AI-powered features.

Key Benefits:
Stronger Security– Built-in protections like TPM 2.0, Smart App Control, and Secured-core capabilities reduce security incidents by 62%. Copilot+ PCs offer even more advanced security.

Familiar Yet Improved– A modernised Start menu and taskbar provide a cleaner look while keeping navigation intuitive.

Faster & More Efficient– Quicker response times, improved web browsing, and better multitasking features boost productivity. Copilot+ PCs are up to 5x faster than older Windows PCs.

Enhanced Multitasking – Snap Layouts and Multiple Desktops help you stay organised and work more efficiently.

Built-in Accessibility – Improved sound schemes, contrast themes, caption customisation, and assistive tech support make Windows 11 the most accessible version yet.

Energy Efficient– Features like energy saver mode and carbon-aware updates reduce power consumption.

AI-Powered Copilot– Integrated into the taskbar, Copilot helps simplify tasks, provide insights, and boost productivity.

Upgrading will provide a more secure, efficient, and intelligent computing experience.

Enhanced Security in Windows 11

Starting in October 2025 Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates. Windows 11 is designed to be the most secure version of Windows ever. Advanced security features include hardware-based protection through TPM 2.0, enhanced authentication methods and virtualisation-based security fully enabled by default. Windows 11 also includes phishing protection, offering robust defence mechanisms, and provides an extra layer of security against common and persistent cyberattacks, like attempts to compromise login credentials or install malware.

Windows 11 offers advanced security features to protect user identity, data, and applications.

Key Security Benefits:

Microsoft Pluton Security Processor – Built into the CPU for enhanced identity, data, and app protection, with secure Microsoft updates.

Hardware & Software Integration – Secure Boot, virtualisation-based security, memory integrity, and TPM defaults strengthen device protection.

Safer App Experience – Smart App Control automatically blocks untrusted apps, reducing malware risks.

Password-Free Protection – Windows Hello supports passkeys, reducing phishing risks by moving towards a passwordless future.

Windows 11 provides stronger security by design, ensuring a safer and more reliable computing experience.
